If you are calling AMI for Tech support for your Motherboard, please review the following:
AMI can provide technical support only for those motherboards that AMI itself manufactures
and not for third party motherboard manufacturers who license AMIBIOS from AMI. Many computer
manufacturers use AMIBIOS. When the machine powers up, the motherboard could display an
American Megatrends copyright notice. This does NOT necessarily mean that the motherboard
is manufactured by AMI or that AMI can provide you with tech support for the Motherboard or
for the AMIBIOS that comes with the Motherboard. You should contact the motherboard manufacturer
for support for AMIBIOS and not AMI.
To find out if the motherboard in your computer is from AMI or from a third party.
- Contact the seller of the computer/motherboard
- download the AMI utility that identifies the licensee for the AMIBIOS, the likely manufacturer of the motherboard.
